STAND4Kids provides support and oversight during the different stages of c4c Proof-of-Viability Industry Studies. As of August 2022, three c4c Industry Sponsored Studies are currently ongoing in Portugal, with the collaboration of our National Network in coordination with c4c’s Network Infrastructure Office and other c4c partners.

The STAND4Kids pediatric network provides support to research sites throughout the lifecycle of each adopted trial, in alignment with the Sponsor/CRO who is responsible for the trial execution in line with legislation and Good Clinical Practice. As a facilitator and mediator working with sites, the STAND4Kids team works with researchers and study teams to solve and overcome challenges that may arise during feasibility, country and site setup and study implementation.

The National Hub’s services include activities, ad hoc support and issue resolution throughout:

*STAND4Kids can provide additional trial-specific regulatory services if delegated by Sponsors/CRO, including CTA submissions to NCA/EC and monitoring services.

Ultimately we seek to increase the number of high-quality clinical trials across our network sites, supporting their scientific, clinical and operationalcapacity and development, in alignment with national stakeholders in pediatric research.
