First National Participant Enrolled in the EMPA-KIDNEY Kids Study

Hospital Pediátrico de Coimbra (ULS de Coimbra – Principal Investigator Dr. Catarina Neves) has enrolled the first national participant in the EMPA-KIDNEY Kids study.

The EMPA-KIDNEY Kids study aims to assess the pharmacokinetics, safety, and efficacy of empagliflozin tablets in children and adolescents aged 2 to 17 years with chronic kidney disease. Study details are available in the EU Clinical Trials Information System.

conect4children Stichting works in close collaboration with the sponsor, Boehringer Ingelheim, to support the study’s execution. In Portugal, the 4 participating sites are also supported by STAND4Kids.
