YPAGLisboa Sharing Meeting with Kids France

The YPAG Lisboa and Kids France group met on 18th November 2021, at AIDFM-CETERA, in an initiative hosted by STAND4Kids.

The YPAGLisboa is a is a Young Persons Advisory Group, coordinated by the Professor Helena Soares, from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lisbon. This is an advisory group made up of children and young people actively participating in clinical research, advising researchers on a full range of activities, projects, and initiatives. Kids France coordinated by Dr. Segolene Gaillard, from the Lyon University Hospital Center, is one of the YPAGs with great experience in highlighting the importance of involving children in clinical trials and setting priorities for future research.

This meeting aimed to share experiences between the two groups, to promote the best practices and support the growth of YPAGLisboa. The pediatric trials network STAND4Kids, National Hub of the European network conect4children, hosted YPAGLisboa, and facilitated this meeting reflecting the importance of involving children, young people and families in the activity of pediatric clinical trials in Portugal.
